Lemon Essential Oil

Lemon essential oil is part of the citrus essential oils family, which is very aromatic and uplifting. Besides lemon, the most common citrus essential oils are orange, lime, lemongrass, grapefruit, bergamot and neroli essential oil.

Lemon essential oil is absorbed into the liver easier than lemon juice, making it a very good detox for your body, and many more.

Lemon essential oil comes from the cold pressing of lemon peels and not from the fruit. It is pH neutral as it does not contain citric acid (that means it does not damage your teeth like lemon juice).  It takes 3,000 lemon rings to produce 1 kg of lemon essential oil. Lemon essential oil is one of the most widely used tropical fruits in the world being very well known for it’s high concentration of vitamin C. It contains d-limonene (not found in lemon juice), a chemical compound that appears to be a powerful cancer fighting antioxidant. It is an excellent anti-bacterial, de-greasing, deodorizing, and disinfecting household cleaner. Lemon oil not only increases our mood and concentration, but also helps with fever, asthma, skin problems, hair conditions, and stomach problems, just to name a few.
